Deb Knight

Deb Knight’s design career started in 1981 at a Melbourne studio called Creativeload on Toorak Rd. The studio focused on design and illustration for press adverts and brochures, working with some of Melbourne's leading companies. With a timeless quality to her work, examples of some of Deb’s early illustration and designs for Creativeload are still in use today.

In 1986 Creativeload became Steiner Briggs and Briggs, relocating to Albert Park where the team rapidly grew from 3 to 12 staff. As Senior Designer, Deb oversaw the work of a junior designer along with a finished artist, 2 creative writers, 3 accountants personnel and 3 directors. Some of her major clients were The Victorian Egg Board, Hunters Products, Oakford Apartments, Swisse Vitamins, Bristol Paints and Not Just Pine Stores. Deb worked in a number of areas, from branding, broadcast, campaigns, packaging and print. During Deb's time with them, the agency won many awards for both print and broadcast projects that she was involved in.

In 2001 Deb and her family opted for a 'tree change' and moved to Mildura for a taste of the country lifestyle. Deb initially undertook some sessional work teaching at La Trobe University and this is where she and Brett Saunders first met. In 2002, with a proven ability to work well together, Deb began doing some part time work at Saunders Design Studio. From here, their relationship developed and in 2006 Deb became a Company Partner in Saunders Design Group PTY LTD. Deb is responsible for managing the accounts and coordinating all print publications and commercial printing.
